What we do and why we do it:
The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church, with approximately 3 million active members in over 160 countries around the world, The Legion was established in Dublin, Ireland on September 7, 1921, and became active in the USA in 1931. The Legion of Mary has been approved by seven Popes and was endorsed by the Second Vatican Council.
It is a prayerful, active ministry dedicated to bringing Christ to others through the guidance of Our Blessed Mother.
Members meet weekly for prayer, fellowship and apostolic works that support our parish community and those in need.
We visit the sick, homebound and those in nursing facilities. We support our parish community and those in need. We Pray the Rosary and deepen our devotion to our Mother Mary.
We provide spiritual comfort to those who’s hearts are in need. We help build a community rooted in humility, charity and service under the guidance of the Blessed Mother and the Holy Spirit.
When we meet:
The Legion of Mary meets every Tuesday at 5:30 PM
in the JP II Room in Henkel Hall, at Holy Ghost Church.
How to get involved:
Anyone with a desire to grow spiritually and serve others with a Marian Heart can join..
No prior experience is needed – just that willingness to say "YES" as did our Mother Mary.
